MINI REVIEW: Wander Dust by Michelle Warren

I loved everything in the story, from the characters (especially Gabe, Mona & Bishop *swoon*) to the places (Who wouldn't wanna go to a school like that?!?). It's very atmospheric!
It reminded me sooooo much of the Hex Hall books by Rachel Hawkins, which I love, so it became the newest book to join my fave book list =D

Michelle, you have done an amazing job with Wander Dust and I can't wait for book 2.

P.S I want a boyfriend like Bishop <3

MINI REVIEW: Saving June by Hannah Harrington

What can I say.....this is not my usual type of book but, I absolutely loved it. I loved all the songs throughout the book and all the little detours they took on the road trip. It takes a lot for a book to make me cry or have tears in my eyes but, this story managed to do it on more than one occasion. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

MINI REVIEW: Spartan Surrender by Kristine Cheney

Another brilliant installment to the Spartan Heart Saga. Beautifully written, like the rest of Kristine's stories. You can't help fall in love with Thessalus, feel for Taryn and you also can't stop wanting to kill Demona. You start off hating Dastan but by the end you can't help but feel for him and even love him. I can't wait for the next installment. I love this Saga and if you read it, you won't be disappointed.

REVIEW: Carrier Of The Mark by Leigh Fallon

To sum it up in 3 words...........I.LOVED.IT!!!

I loved the story line, the setting and just about every character.

It was beautifully written and I loved the whole mythology theme within the story. I loved most of the characters especially Megan, Aine, Adam, Rian and Fionn and Randel (who isn't actually a person but is one awesome personality).
The celtic myth in this book makes me want to do research on the whole thing, which has only happened to me once whilst reading a book and that was in the Divine Trilogy & Partholon novels by P.C Cast.
It reminded me in a way of Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini with the whole mythology and magic powers and it also reminded me slightly of Twilight too, but in a good way.

All in all I think this a perfect start to a trilogy and I for one cannot wait for books 2 & 3

REVIEW: Ghostly Images by Peter Townsend

I received a copy of the book for review from the author.

After reading the book summary, I was intrigued and couldn't wait to start reading.

I found the subject matter very interesting and unique as I haven't read a book about 'spiritual photography' before. I found the first half of the book a bit on the slow side but, it was still interesting to read. The second half picked up pace and became more captivating, and I found that I couldn't put it down until I finished reading.

As the story progressed, you start thinking about who 'The Whitby Ripper' could be, and I kept trying to figure it out but I kept failing, until about two thirds of the way through but, I was still surprised by the reveal as you don't really think the character would do something like commit murder. As a whole, the book was good and thought provoking at times (I will definitely be researching 'spiritual photography' to find out more about it).

The main characters were great to read about especially Hood. Hood became my favourite character, as he had a complex personality and I loved how he came across as a charlatan to some and a saint-like helpful figure to others.

I think the author did a great job to write a book set in 1894 and with an interesting theme with a bit of murder/mystery thrown in. I think this is a great book for readers who like books set in and around that time period and with an interest in photography with a paranormal twist.

REVIEW: Anumal Empire: Lazarball by David Ayres &Darren Jacobs

I received a copy of this book from 1 of the authors, Darren Jacobs, for an honest review.

I really liked this book. It is well written, with characters you can easily relate to. Its a quick and easy read too.
Its really atmospheric and detailed, making it really easy to imagine the characters, scenery and all the action.
The pace of the story is perfect, as it doesn't seem to drag in places and it doesn't feel rushed, compared to some books in this genre.
I really liked Clinton as a character. He fights for what he believes in, cares for his younger brother and I love his interactions with his brother and Arkie.

Overall, I think the book is a great read with a unique story. I would recommend this to fans of The Hunger Games and those with the love of epic adventure novels. And those who like dystopian themes with a twist.

I'm looking forward to the sequel
